The following is a very important message for parents of
Elite Martial Arts Students

At Elite Martial Arts we want to make your child’s experience in the martial arts a very positive and productive one. As always, we encourage you to participate in your child’s endeavors. From time to time we like to keep parents informed of their child’s progress as we strengthen them physically, and challenge them mentally.

It is not uncommon for some of our younger students to become temporarily discouraged.  If this happens it is especially important to be supportive and positive.  As parents and teachers it is up to us to make the difference between a child who meets and overcomes a challenge and a child who gives up.  Your encouragement and support of your child’s efforts at these times take on a new significance and can really make the difference.

It is common for us as parents to use certain things as leverage if our child is misbehaving.  Doing this is okay as long as the item or activity being used for leverage is not one that is beneficial for a child’s development.  Never use martial arts or any beneficial activities as leverage against undesired behavior.  Doing so will only cause a child to react negatively toward the activity and eventually make them want to quit.

With your help, we at Elite Martial Arts can maximize the benefits of your child’s martial arts training.  If you would like to schedule a meeting with us, or if you have any questions regarding your child’s progress, please be sure to call us at 282-KICK.

Yours Sincerely,

Master Myler,

Common cents
before self defense

  • Avoid the situation.

  • Assess the situation.  Look for a way out…  Determine your odds.  Seek the upper hand.

  • Fight as if your life depends on it.  It just might.

  • Mercy.  When they’re done so are you.  Never attack a beaten opponent.
